Add to this the costly and elaborate equipment for washing, dyeing, blending and spinning the aterials, developing the fabrics and designing the patterns, then finishing, handling and warehousing them.

In this industry there are only a few large and medium-sized mills, rather than hundreds of small ones. It is no business for the fly-by-nighter.
